How do I get my business listed on EatForCharity?

After completing the registration form, found here, you will receive a login link giving you access to your new Merchant Dashboard where you'll be able to enter all the information about your business.

How much does it cost to add my business to EatForCharity?

EatForCharity does not charge a fee to join the platform. Instead, you only pay a commission on orders placed in the platform for your business. Not only are our commissions, starting at just 9%, among the lowest rates charged in the industry, EatForCharity gives 25% of that to charity! If you would like, you can increase the amount donated to charity from your orders in your Merchant Dashboard at any time.

Does EatForCharity's commission apply to the delivery fee?

No, the commission charged to Merchants is not applies to delivery, packaging, cutlery fees, tax, or tips, as well as to any additional donations customers may choose to give when placing their order.

Does EatForCharity Require Exclusivity to Join or can I also be on other online ordering platforms?

Unlike other online ordering platforms, EatForCharity not only does not require exclusivity, we will never raise your rates if you choose to join others. We value our partnership with you and look forward to working with any business or individuals who share our passion for helping charities in their fundraising efforts.

Will EatForCharity provide me with an invoice for the commission I pay?

Yes, EatForCharity provides invoices for all charges upon request.

How do I receive orders placed on EatForCharity?

You can view your orders via your Merchant Dashboard at any time as well as choose to receive your orders via a combination of email, SMS, WeChat, or through our Merchant Order Taking APP. You can also change your notification settings at any time.

Do you offer delivery service?

The EatForCharity backend is now integrated with one of China's largest delivery companies to provide this service for you at the click of a button when your orders come in, should you choose to use it. If you prefer to manage the deliveries yourself, you can do so as well. We recommend using this integrated service as it not only makes your life much easier, when allowing EatForCharity to manage your deliveries, customers will receive automatic order notifications and be able to track their delivery driver throughout the ordering process.

What is the distance from my business that I can deliver to?

You can specific how far you are willing to deliver to and you control the rates you would like to charge the consumer. For example, you can set a minimum delivery charge of 10 rmb for the first 2 km, then say 15 rmb for delivery to 4km, etc. The EatForCharity platform does not limit the distance so it's up to you to specify how far you are willing to deliver to and what you would like to charge for each distance.

Do you have any instructions or tutorials to help me add my business to EatForCharity?

Yes, we have a complete step-by-step guide available to help Merchants get their shop up and running on EatForCharity as well as details on how to manage your orders and understand your income reports. Access to these will be provided upon approval of your account after you sign up.

My Menu is only in one language. Is that ok? Do you offer translation services or do I need to translate my menu?

The EatForCharity platform is available in seven different languages for users from around in China to be able to use. You can upload your menu in any of the available languages; including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, or Russian but do not need to translate your menu to other languages if you don't want. I don't speak any of the other languages. How will I understand the orders placed by people using a different language?

The EatForCharity platform uses a sophisticated back-end system to receive and translate customer requests in order to send them to you in your language of choice so you can gain international customers in China from all over the world without needing to worry about how to communicate with them.

I have more than one location for my business. Can I add them all?

Yes! We suggest that each location have their own account page on EatForCharity so they can better manage their orders and product availability. Simply start by adding one of your locations, then contact us at info@eatforcharity.cn and we'll help to replicate the shop for use by your other locations.

I see most businesses are in Shekou, can I add my business if it's not in Shekou?

Absolutely! Any legally operating business with a location in China can currently join EatForCharity. If you're outside of China and are interested in joining, please email info@eatforcharity.cn to let us know and we'll advise you when we'll be ready for you.

I'd like to join but would like you to add my business and product offerings for me. Can you do that?

Sure, please email an electronic copy of your menu to info@eatforcharity.cn and we'll provide you with an estimate.

I sell food but I don't have a restaurant. Can I still add my business to EatForCharity?

Yes! When you signup, please select the "delivery only" option.

I sell drinks, not food. Can I add my business to EatForCharity?

Yes! We're happy to welcome any food or beverage business that shares our values of helping charities.

I sell products, not food or drinks. Can I add my business to EatForCharity?

At this time, we're only able to accommodate those in the Food and Beverage Industry. We do have other online sales platforms though. Please email info@eatforcharity.cn to learn more.

How do you select which charities are beneficiaries of the donations on EatForCharity?

We started with local charities that we have worked with in the past and those referred by people we know. We're open to include any worthwhile charity though to benefit. If you know of any, please direct them here to sign up.

How can I suggest to add my favorite charity as a beneficiary on EatForCharity?

If you know a charity, please direct them here to sign up. If you have a suggestion, please email us and let us know.

Can I change how much money is donated to charity from my orders?

Yes! You can change your donation amount in your Merchant Dashboard at any time.
